Thirty days on your phone

Know what the tide is doing now.

Ebb turns NOAA tide predictions into a clear countdown, an arbitrary-minute curve, and local alarms that keep working when your signal disappears.

Tide predictions are not observations and are not for navigation. Never use Ebb to decide whether conditions are safe.

OFFLINE · SAVED PREDICTIONS

Built for the shoreline

The useful parts stay with you.

No account, no ads, and no direct NOAA call from your phone. Ebb stores validated predictions locally, uses station time, and never extrapolates beyond saved coverage.

01 · NOW

A tide answer at a glance

See the next high or low, current height and direction, sun and moon context, and the station’s local time zone.

02 · SCRUB

Ask about any minute

Drag the 36-hour curve to inspect an exact time. Rising and falling water use both color and stroke, with an adjustable screen-reader control.

03 · OFFLINE

Thirty days cached

Saved predictions, places, appearance, and alarms live on your device. The app clearly marks stale, near-edge, and exhausted coverage.

04 · ALARMS

Local reminders, no push token

Choose high, low, or minus tide and a lead time. Ebb schedules from cached tide events on the device, including in airplane mode.

Privacy by architecture

Your coordinates stay on your phone.

Ebb asks for one foreground location fix only after you request the nearest-station feature. The coordinate is used on the device, discarded, and never placed in a request, log, analytics event, crash report, or support payload.

Ebb has no user account. Optional production analytics are limited to a random installation identifier, allow-listed feature-use events, and sanitized diagnostics. There is no advertising ID, tracking, sale, or cross-app profile.

Source and safety

Prediction, not observation.

Ebb shows astronomical tide predictions. Wind, air pressure, storm surge, river flow, waves, and local conditions can make actual water levels differ. Tide predictions and station metadata come from NOAA CO-OPS, a United States public-domain source. Ebb is independent, is not affiliated with NOAA, and is not endorsed by NOAA or the United States government.
